This knowledge and skills development course for the Magnetom Avanto and Espree 1.5T Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) systems is designed to teach field service and support personnel the core principles for all primary system components:

  • Operation
  • Configuration
  • Troubleshooting
  • Repair

During the 8-day course, students will engage in discussions, lectures, and labs in order to provide a thorough understanding and experience with the material. This course does not cover Symphony, Harmony, Trio or any other Siemens MRI systems.

Siemens Magnetom Avanto/Espree - March 10-19, 2020

Technical Prospects’ Magnetom Family Training Course is an 8-day (Tuesday – Thursday) knowledge and skills development course designed for field service and support personnel. During this course, students engage in discussions, lectures and labs centered on the core principles of operation, configuration, troubleshooting and repair for all primary system components.

Prerequisites:

It is highly recommended that interested students have the following Knowledge/Experience;

  • 2 or more years of industry/military experience working with MRI equipment

OR

  • Attendance of an OEM’s Introduction to MRI or MRI Basics course (Certificates may be requested)

Students are required to provide the listed equipment;

Service Laptop

Outcome:

Upon completion of this training course, students will;

  • Understand terms & symbols used by Siemens
  • Identify, configure, troubleshoot and diagnose components of the Magnetom Family
    • Magnet and Cooling systems
    • Power Distribution and Gradient systems
    • Patient Handling system
    • Imaging Control and Imaging Reconstruction systems
    • RF system and Local Coils
  • Understand the relationships and interactions of all system components
  • Successfully interact with and navigate the system’s Syngo software interface
  • Perform configuration and adjustments via service software
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose system problems based upon error codes
  • Perform the recommended bi-annual Preventative Maintenance procedures
